Of course, what we all want, is to be on appointments. The sentiments above reflect what almost every insurance agents feels. Pre set appointments are where things get sold, money gets moved and commissions are made. So, to focus on appointments is key to being successful, right?

When you think about pre set appointments, you think about going to someone’s house who knows you’re coming and who is ready for you to be there. The truth is, not many pre set appointments are like that. Take a moment and think about what you are asking a third party to do. You are paying a third party to get you in the door to talk with someone. The only connection you have with the person making the calls is the incentive of payment. They will get you into the door with anyone possible so that they can get paid. This makes for some strange situations at the door that you must overcome just to get into the house. It is not a perfect system, but if you understand the limitations, and that at the door, you may be required to re-sell yourself, pre set appointments can help you find success, or at least get you to the door.
